8 reasons to have breakfast every morning

Everybody says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but, unfortunately, many neglect it, mainly due to the fast pace of life. While some of us are used to it, others simply cannot do without breakfast. Apparently they know about the huge benefits that breakfast has for our health.

The importance of breakfast is actually explained in its very name: breaking the fast between dinner and the next big meal after sleep. For many of us, this break can take up to 12 hours, and this is too much for our body. After reading the information below, you will no longer want to miss breakfast.

1. Breakfast boosts our energy

There is no better way to start your day by getting the vitamins and nutrients you need and thereby boost your energy levels. There are some great foods that are best suited for this. First of all, it is worth highlighting 3 products:

  • Eggs . Rich in protein, amino acids and vitamin D, eggs are a great source of energy. Add 1 or 2 eggs to your regular breakfast for the next boost in energy.
  • Whole grains . Homemade bread, porridge, or oatmeal for breakfast are wise choices to provide your body with fiber, which is critical for heart and gastrointestinal health. In addition, it also reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
  • Vitamin C . It is found in huge amounts in various fruits, especially orange, grapefruit and apple, which are also great for snacking with breakfast, in solid form or as juice.

2. Gives us a clear focus

When we are hungry, we are very distracted by everything, especially if we have not eaten anything in the morning. This will undoubtedly be a hindrance during your morning classes, meetings and work activities. When you think about food, or your stomach grumbles, there is no way you can prevent food cravings. Plus, if you eat breakfast, your brain gets enough strength to function properly, so it’s easier to concentrate throughout the morning.

3. Breakfast improves mood

Skipping breakfast is one of the main reasons people get grumpy in the morning. This is understandable: after all, if we skip the most important meal of the day, we feel more moody, irritable and unmotivated throughout the day. This, in turn, affects the effectiveness of solving important tasks before lunch and various social interactions. A stable reception of a good breakfast every morning will be beneficial both for ourselves and for the people around us.

4. Increases metabolism

When we skip food in the morning, we do not get extra calories, but at the same time, the body begins to burn them less. Having breakfast will help you start burning calories early in the day, not after lunch.

5. Preventing hunger

It is very important not to skip breakfast if you are worried about your figure. If it is passed, the body can be misled and go into the “survival mode”. As a result, it utilizes reserve fats and calories, which adversely affects metabolism.

6. Allows us to control our portions

Skipping breakfast will likely lead to overeating during your next big meal. If you want to cut back on your portions, balance your meals, it is very wise to have a regular breakfast.

7. Helps lower bad cholesterol

Skipping breakfast can stimulate the production of LDL cholesterol, which is considered “bad” cholesterol. In this case, a chain reaction begins in our body: firstly, the metabolism slows down, more fat is stored, and we overeat during the next meal. This leads to an increase in LDL levels.

8. Breakfast can be tasty and healthy

Doesn’t delicious food make us all happy? A delicious breakfast activates taste buds and improves appetite. Avoid eating only prepared foods. Garnish your breakfast with fresh fruits, vegetables, or cook your own, such as sausages, bacon, pancakes or scrambled eggs. It might make you wake up early, but in the long run, you win in the long run, and now you know why.
