GemVenture – puzzle game

Puzzle Quest is almost universally recognized as an addictive phenomenon, the kind of game that sinks its claws into your face and doesn’t let go until your fingers start threatening to fall the hell off. But there’s really not much to the visuals, and that seems to be part of the motivation behind a recent homebrew takeoff… that was written for the NES.
GemVenture has character classes, spells, and gem matching–everything you need to fight an epic battle. You’ve also got to have an NES emulator, of course, and a lot of time on your hands. I just did a little test play and lost an hour of my life.I could stack up gems all day long.

Mitsubishi Laservue Projection TV

Mitsubishi’s L65A90 LaserVue 65-inch Rear Projection HDTV is the world’s first laser-powered television, and the company claims that its laser-lit DLP delivers twice as many colors as the now stupid and old LCD and plasma HDTVs. If I may quote the L65A90’s tech specs… “Twice the Color Over 200% of HDTV.” WOW. Twice and over 200% in one sentence? This TV must be made of crystallized awesome sauce..
The L65A90 is so awesome that people who don’t even own the thing are giving it ZOMG LAZERZ! customer reviews. I’m not kidding. And what’s not to love? Naturally, the LaserVue supports full 1080p resolution for a super sharp HD picture. It’s got a viewing angle of about 160 degrees, it’s 3D-capable, and come on, it’s 65 inches of laser powered HDTV with twice the color over 200%! Plus it has 4 HDMI inputs, and it can detect inputs as they are plugged in, thanks to it’s Easy Connect feature.
The L65A90 is energy efficient too: it consumes only 135 W; Mitsubishi claims that that’s half of what comparably-sized LCD TVs would consume, and a mere third of what Plasma TVs gobble.
But its $7,000 USD price tag negates whatever customers will save off the electricity bill. Then again, if you’re rich enough to afford a $7,000 TV, I don’t think you care if it’s energy efficient or not. The important thing is that it’s a World’s First Something Something, and it has twice the color over 200%. Tell your butler to get three Mitsubishi’s L65A90s at Amazon; one for you, one for him, one for me.

Zeo Personal Sleep Coach

Most people associate a training coach with exercise and a lot of hard work to get fit. I must admit that I never thought that you needed a coach to sleep though. Zeo have created the personal sleep coach which is a device that trains you to get a decent nights sleep.
The Zeo device requires that you go to sleep wearing a small headband. The headband measures brainwave patterns to see what your sleeping habits are.
When sleep patterns have been gathered they are run through a computer which provides graphs and habits on screen for you to analyse. The system then gives you feedback and a 7 step program to get you to fix all your bad sleeping habits.
Introducing Zeo, the Personal Sleep Coach. Developed with leading sleep scientists, Zeo is a new kind of educational tool and motivational program that helps you understand how you are sleeping, reveals habits and behaviors that may be helping or hindering your sleep, and teaches new ways that may help you get a better night’s rest. Zeo is a three-part personal sleep coach product, combined with a highly personalized sleep coaching program.
The Personal Sleep Coach costs $399 and hopefully does exactly what it says on the box
